Hi, our hotpoint aquarius wf250 washing machine has started to let water back into the drum after a wash cycle.
Everything else works ok wash, spin etc.But when its been standing for 24hrs or so when we open the door there is a collection of water in the bottom of the drum.
    Any ideas why.

    Thanks

Worth mentioning that this machine should have a non return valve in the pump which should prevent water seeping back in from the outlet.

If the water is clean then you may have a faulty inlet valve, very rare on such a young machine but not unheard of. If it still leaks in after you have eliminated the outlet/drain pipe as a possible cause then if the machine is hot & cold fill, turn off the tap to either hot or cold. If it doesn’t fill overnight then the valve from the supply you have turned off is faulty, if it still fills then obviously the other one is.

If it is a cold fill only then turn off the cold tap overnight.

Inlet valves are not expensive or that difficult to change.

Narrowed the culprit down its the cold water valve thats letting water back into the washer.
Thanks for all your help just need to get the part sorted now.

None of those in that case, you need a 1604490, an e-mail to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk should do the trick. It will be a little dearer than those but not over expensive.
