Hi guys, got a bosch classixx 1200 washing machine which I have owned for a couple of years, machine gets worked fairly hard two three washes per day. Wife’s been happy with it until it started to continually take in water, seems to over fill slightly but go’s through its cycle until spin cycle then it stops. We can make it spin the cloths by selecting the spin cycle. This machine has a led display that normally counts down to zero when washing, I’ve noticed this has been erratic and is changing up and down. Is this the programmer at fault or could some other fault cause these symptoms, I’ve cleaned out the water pump filter, which was reasonably clean. 😯

    WFO2466GB/07, I think you’ll find.

I suspect that you have a problem with the water level control system. This works by the displacement of air from a collecting bell attached to the bottom hose of the machine. The air is forced up a skinny hose, into a diaphragm switch at the top. The collecting bell can become blocked by sludge, the air hose can chafe through, or the switch can become faulty.

Switch is p/no 172693 if that proves to be the fault; spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will get you promptly.

Stay safe, power off at all times.

    Regards,
    Penguin45.

Thanks for the info, I ve checked the hose and bell, all looks to be in good condition, switch seems to click when pressure put through the hose. hose is clear not blocked, should i try a new switch or is there a way of testing it. i have a meter. water continues to enter machine write through the cycle.seems to be rinsing constantly. Any idea’s appreciated.

    Hi
With the power off, take the feed wires off each valve in turn, then set on spin and see if you still get the same symptoms.

    hi gegsy
when you say valves do you mean the wires on the pressure switch, or the water intake valves. when the machine is set to spin it emptys the water and spins normaly. any other setting it constantly takes water in and pumps it out, never floods though. :rolls:

It certainly sounds morel like a pressure system fault as suggested previously tbh 😕
