ParticipantHi,
I am going to this appliance Wed. The complaint is not heating but it goes
through the prog to the end.Is there a common complaint on this m/c re not heating.
Does the heating cct include the `probe feeler` as described in Connect
Pt number 5031682990711I seem to remember fitting one of these a long time ago but can`t remember
the fault.Thanks

Hi
Sometime you don’t get the continuous flashes for NTC fault, you may find it just won’t heat 😕 even though NTC/feeler may read ok 😯Greg

Hi Gegsy,
Thanks for your response.
That sounds exactly what is happening here.
I asked the customer to put the m/c through a prog again and watch for
lights flashing but it ended with no fault indications showing and it had
not heatedWhat is the normal NTC reading – if you have it.
Thanks again

NTC can cause this on the rare occassion.
Most times, it’s the pcb at fault. Either burnt or scrambled software.Brian

I had exactly the same complaint on the same model. heater OK. NTC OK. Connections list 2 modules. One goes at the top behind the facia ( which is what I quoted for, but didn’t get the go ahead). The other one I wasn’t sure about.

From the table you kindly posted Gegsy I would hopefully feel confident
that it is the NTC that is the culprit. The customers NTC reading is 4.6K ohms at ambient temp. From the
table, the PCB is assuming that it is already at temperature hence the reason
it completes the program normally without heating. Thanks again
