I am having problems with the said t/dryer, it seems to be a top of the range all singing and dancing one with a small led delay display that is displaying 2 lines(imagine the number 8 with only the middle display showing) and the dryer will not start or do anything although when you turn the selector knob the lights will change to show whioch program has been selected but just dead apart from that, i really dont want to order a board (pt no 267397) at bundles of dough

Hello son, has it got a light inside sometimes the cover comes off or gets damaged causing steam to get into the facia, just a thought.

Yup, pretty sure someone has set the child lock 8)
See instruction book for how to turn off, IIRC it may be hold start for four seconds or so.

To prevent not authorized use of the device (p. ej. in laundry rooms of collective use) will be able to block the device across the electronics.
It will do that I turned out to be impossible to start the device – after disconnecting the dryer the activated blockade will be supported.
It will not be possible to block a program that is executed.Introduction of the electrical blockade:
1. To connect the device

If I was to have a guess I would say keep “Start” button depressed whilst powering up and wait for some sign of unlock 😕

In my case the damn thing came back to life on it’s own. However I did discover that the child lock is activated and deactivated by depressing the select button for 6 seconds.
