    Hi

    I have 2 questions

    1) What is the correct power rating for the fan elements?
    Original was 2200W
but SMEG seems to be supplying 2000W only

    2) While the fan elements have been out of action I have been using the upper and lower elements.
However it seems to cut out when probably reaching some temperature and is operational when it cools down.
Could it be anything else other than the thermostat?

    Many Thanks

    Re: Smeg SUK91MFX Oven problem

    Hi

The original 2200W element has now been replaced by a 1500W element (part number 806890442) and it is advised that both elements get changed at the same time even if only one is faulty to ensure an even heating performance.
So the correct power rating is now 1500W.

The issue with the oven cutting out is more likely to be caused by the thermal overload (safety stat) than the regulator stat you use to control the temperature. At this stage I’d advise getting an engineer out to examine the appliance because it’s a case of opening it up and checking components to diagnose this correctly.
