ParticipantHI all new member so sorry if i have posted in wrong section.
I have a bosch freezer under counter type and just came back off holiday today and the inlaws who were staying pet sitting say they saw water leaking out. It was defrosting. The lights all work on the freezer and the fast freeze light works but its not getting cold? is there something i can do or is a part that has failed?
Thanks guys

Hi
If it there is no sound from the motor on the rear when the fast freeze button is activated than Im afraid its possible the motor/compressor or start unit may be at fault.
If you need pro help please use the link below 🙂Without a model from off the appliance itself all the above is hypothetical though 😉

Hi Thanks for the reply, i have just tried turning the fast freeze on and it made no sound. The model is Bosch Logixx and the model munber i think is GSL1240GB/01. would you have any idea on the problem and also a rough idea of the cost to repair as it is only 4 yrs old
Thanks

Yea but you missed a 2 😛 😀
The appliance is a basic freezer so it may have a faulty switch bank or as my previous post a compressor system fault.
IMHO you would be better seeking pro help 🙂Greg

Thanks for your reply, as you say its a basic freezer, in your opinoin what would you expect to pay to get it repaired? or do you think it would be worth just buying a new one? I know you cant really tell what is wrong with it but with the two possible faults you have described what do you think the cost would be?
Thanks
