L8on
ParticipantHi all
I am new to the white goods industry and already people are bombarding me with problems on appliances. My sister in-law has the above appliane Fride/Freezer (side by side) that freezes everything in the fridge compartment even with the temp set to its lowest. Could it be something lalong the lines of a baffle stuck open or is there more to it than that? Any feedback welcomed, Thanks.

the ‘mod’ of restricting air vents??????
whose mod is this then?
the problem is easily sorted and will be attributable to the damper control in the refrigerator section.
where are you based l8on?November 10, 2007 at 8:59 pm #233548gegsy

Ok have moved to trade section as without any response from OP Im sure he is trade 😉 .
The mod to restrict the venting is BS as alf pointed out, I have no idea where that came from 😕
The recognised mod to the damper unit is a heater addition and the model and seriel number are paramount to identify correct part for the appliance.
Hope that clears that up 😀Greg

helo, there’s absolutely no way maytag would have advised you to restrict the air flow from the damper control, so that is most definitely bs.
