Participanthi all,
THis is my first post so i hope you can help! I have a hotpoint UY46 double oven and after a recent powercut the bottom oven has stoped working.
After searching the forums i came across this post:
However, setting the time has not helped.
It is the bottom oven that is not heating up however, the fan and light both seem to fine. In addition, the top oven is working fine!
I hope someone out there can point me in the right direction!
Thanks

Thanks for getting back to me.
Is this an easy job for me to do or am i better of getting someone in. The article points to a couple of warnings will these apply to the UY46?
Thanks

Not difficult, a screwdriver job basically. The hardest part is getting the back panel to come off.
The warnings are pretty general, observe power precautions carefully.

You dont have to take the back panel off there is enough length on the cables to do it from inside the oven cavity, just take it easy and you will manage it no probs.

You can’t access the element if you don’t take the back panel off – it’s behind it.

And in official Hotpoint terminology it’s known as a FAN OVEN INNER PANEL 😉
