    Hi

    I bought a Whirlpool AWO 3751/5 at auction as my servis died.

    It works absolutely fine, but when it is medium spinning, it is making a high pitch noise.

    Not a screeching, but more like a high note.

    Any ideas what this could be and how I could check/fix?

    This is a common fault on Whirlpool washers. The squeeling comes from the grease that was used in the manufacturing of the bearing i believe, it wasnt compatable. The only real cure is a bearing change to be honest 😥

    If it’s an intermittent “Squee”…… it’s the seal in front of the bearings. Harmless, irritating, total demolition job to resolve with a gob of grease. If this fits your symptoms, turn the telly up and forget it.

    Yep seems you guys have it spot on.

    Oh well it isn’t too bad, just annoying.
