ParticipantDear All,
My built in dishwasher allows water into the system and fills the filter area at the base. It then flashes the second light and empties the water. I removed the electrical valve from the main inlet and tested, seemed ok, removed the electrical valve to the filter and tested, seemed ok. Then powered the pump and that seemed ok too, any ideas?

Update:
I just measured the resistance on the heater and it was completly open circuit so order a new one.
Would this cause the same fault?
I tested the switch relay that is for detecting sum pressure and it tests ok.Any ideas if it could be the heater or could it be that for some reason there isnt enough pressure in the sump to switch the pressure relay?

The error code you report is supposed to signify a fill valve problem, however the heaters are very prone to failure on these as are the electronics, it is not uncommon to get spurious error messages. The lights for heater failure should be either 4 or 2+4.
Changing the faulty heater would be the first logical step.

When I change the heater and if it doesnt fix the problem, I am guessing its the electronics.
Both the solenoid valves work and water gets to the sump no problem. If the pressuer relay is then operated and its tested ok, pump is working ok then I presume there is only the electronics left?
If so, what are the chances of getting the spare?January 15, 2008 at 9:35 am #239557iadom

All parts are readily available and unlike the Indesit washing machine PCB’s the dishwasher ones are not expensive.

spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk 😉
Your machine is actually a BFI62, just checked on the module for that one and unfortunately it is a little more expensive than the BFI620 module.
An e-mail to the above should get you price inc shipping etc.

Hi all,
Replaced heater and it seems to be working now. Even though the fault light indicated water in issue.
Can anyone tell me approx how long the dishwasher should run for on the cycle that is second from the right?
It says in the manual that it does two pre-wash cycles then two heat cycles. -
