LG wm 1460 FHD & wm 1280 FHD Bearings

LG direct drive WM
(two bearing job to do this week !! LG bearing virgin !!)

I have got the outer tub out of the machine and split it, but how do I get to the six bolts holding the direct drive to the outer tub ? the outer guard of the direct drive is held internally by three bolts, and can’t be un-bolted from the outside, the fins are to close together to get a socket to the remaing bolts any ideas ??

H if you are changing the tub and not just the bearings becareful as new tub has holes for direct drive indifferent position. 🙁

I want to just change the bearings & seal but can’t seem to figure out how to get the direct drive off !!

Hi

The Direct drive unit is held on by one bolt in the centre,the stator is then bolted onto the rear of the tub by about 8 bolsts

I have undone the center bolt, do I just pull the direct drive off I have tried but it does not seem to move !!

Hi

Yep,Its just a pull off,Its only got a nylon bush in the centre.
