thats it for me in the public forums
some of you will notice that one of the consumer rights idiots picked a fight with me over a machine, and i bit
i blew my stack, and i apologise.
im not going to post any more responses and im damned if im going to help any of them out in future
admittedly they arent all numptys, but everytime you try and help them, theres another one, trying to mix it up
the samsung threads are a classic example

I’ll miss your input, Rob. Bit of brutality from time to time reinforces the message, in my opinion. 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time, punters take on board what any of us say, often with thanks. I really wouldn’t get too upset over one tw@t. I’d have stopped years ago if it bothered me.
Anyway, before the Public Forums arguement breaks out again, let me say that they keep UKW up the rankings, which keeps the sponsors/advertisers interested and keeps it free for the rest of us.
Volunteers in the Public Forums are always welcomed with open arms.
Bear in mind that it is a very few of us from the trade grouping that keep the Public side going; we are pleased with any help.

I’d agree with what he said. 😆
The public, as we all know only too well, are a right fickle bunch. Some you just won’t win with and the Samsung crew is a case in point. They haven’t a clue, read a few stories on t’internet and assume that there’s an epidemic.
As the net becomes more prevalent expect more of the same, every little nuance or failing will be called into question and investigated, torn apart to the N’th degree.
It is sad that many people, especially manufacturers don’t see this.

I agree with Chris – it’s always entertaining to read ‘helo_75’ responses. He is the whitegoods answer to Basil Fawlty. “I’ve warned you time and time again……now I’m going to give you a damn good thrashing!!!!!” (wielding a large branch and beating the living cr@p out of his car.)

It’s the same with any kind of voluntary work, you are likely to get as much criticism as you get praise. The best advice for forum sites in general is “don’t feed the troll”. If you think someone is just there to wind you up it’s best just to ignore that thread/comment and move on to something else. You will still get a buzz when someone says your diagnosis was spot on and they have had a good outcome.

i agree dont let the ( ive got a degree in mechanical engineering and can taken a car apart and put it back together again and cut open a welded tub changed the bearings and welded it back up because im too tight to buy a cheep machine for myself ) wear ya down iv been in this industry 24 years an left a few times because of idiots but at the end of the day you realise ya just cant help some people out, punters are punters no matter what industry your in and unfortunately some allways think they know it all, but of course we know better dont we lol 😉 smartin

hi helo, dont know there that engineer is from, but from what i can tell he must have only been in the job a short time, but knows of fixes i never new existed
