does door fit properly?, does light go off when door closed?. Is it an exposed evaporator, if so can you reposition the capilary end to a different position on the evap plate?

    Hi

If the stat is secured in the correct place where it freezes then the stat is either faulty or incorrectly wired.

Door seals ok , light goes off . This hasn’t got exposed evaporator the stat capillary goes down a tube within the insulation and goes in fairly easily to the same depth as original . Any more suggestions please .
Thanks for all help so far .

    Hi

It sounds like the evaperator phile mounting has come off the evaperator which is unable to be repaired.

How old is the appliance ?

If only a couple of years or so then so as every one else is doing and demand not fit for purpose and get a new one.
