ParticipantHI There
My Fisher & Paykel 7.5kg Top Load Washer – GW712 will fill with water and as it’s filing the bowl turns, then once it is full nothing happens. I’ve tried seeing if it will spin and the same thing happens all the water empties then nothing. I’ve tried looking at other posts which would be the same as mine but couldn’t find one that matched.I ran the sticky diagnostic and have reset the machine several times to no avail
please could i have some advise on what to do, i’m a newb on here and need some guidanceCHeers

OK latest update
I can now get the sip cycle to work but not the main washing cycle or the rinse washing cycle.

ParticipantALso, another update, when the machine is filling up the agitator does not move, it usually moves to even the load out when filling, and the auto level filler will only fill to a certain point then stops, if i put it on high or med fill no probs.
can someone hel please.April 12, 2008 at 11:21 pm #248838Penguin45

Gavin, is this 000010 the code you were getting? If so, it’s one short. If I add another 0, you’ve got a comms error – the display board and the motor controller board are not talking to each other properly. It’s possible that there is some sort of wiring loom problem, or the boards themselves. F+P recommend substituting boards until it works – an expensive option.

Not much else I can add, Gavin. Comment above with regard to the loom equates to the wiring. Beyond the obvious – checking for corrosion, oxidisation, dry joints and the like on the boards, that’s about it. Pinching the edge connectors to improve contact pressure may help…..
