The wash cycle had been noisy for a little while, then during the initial first two minutes (rinse cycle) the machine makes a low thud and then stops All that can be heard is a whurring noise (water pump?) coming from below as if something is jammed or not pumping correctly? There is no beeping/fault code. …thanks

Better have a read of THIS then.
Initial action is drain, then fill, then circulate. Motor not pumping correctly is not a detectable error……..
