ParticipantThe evaporator is icing up solid. The heater is ok and the thermistors appear ok; their resistance is changing with temperature anyway. Is it likely to be anything other than the main pcb at the back? The thermistors are foamed in and looking at Partfinder they don’t seem to be replacable anyway.
Thanks
Geoff

Thanks Jonny. I went back into Partfinder armed with that info and there is a window that tells you about it.

Can anyone send me the service bulletin (and service manual if your feeling extra generous) for these machines please – just been to see one today where there was a couple of inches of ice hanging from the evaporator – thermistors, thermal fuses and defrost heater all meter as ok.
If not can anyone shed some light on exactly which bit has gone as I am reluctant to get a board if it isn’t that which is causing the fault.
Thank you
Jem

Thank you Bob – all received. 😀
Quick question for anyone who has done the mod – Am I right in thinking that the new heater extends lower than the old one or is that just the model in the picture?
Thank you.

Hi Jem,
the new heater is larger and extend down to the fridge air return slot to stop it iceing over.

Thank you Bob – looks like I will be ordering a new heater then as the customer was shocked at the size of the lump of ice that I removed this morning.
