ParticipantWent out to one of these today, S/N 610255509 80339671501
Customer says that it skips part of its cycle out. After looking at it, I noticed that it fills up, then just stops and does nothing. However if I put it to a spin, it does it, and if I use the special programs they seem to work, or at least there is motor action. I put it back to a number 3 program (cottons) and it just fills and stops dead. SO… Heater checks ok (wilh a mega also) the motor runs ok and the pump runs ok, water valve is working and I have checked the pressure switch where I have a circuit when level up and a circuit when level down. I think its the module or perhaps the eprom on the module? Told customer to leave it disconnected from the mains for a few hours and to try again. Anybody got any ideas?
Thanks,
Regards,

sounds like a module fault, i would get one in from EMW. if it was not the pcb you can return it , and it wiil only cost you £5 + vat. have a word with Tony at EMW, he’s pretty good with these faults.

You say the motor works OK but possibly you tried it without a washload? Dodgy brushes can give similar symtoms such as you mention. 😉

hi, did you check both inlet valves? they can fill to a level from one, then switch to the second valve, but if its o/c it will just sit

Hello again, I kina ruled motor brushes out as it did a spin lovely and it sounded in good fettle. Also, its only 14 months old and its an elderly lady who lives on her own.
In relation to the water valve, its a cold fill only, but thanks anyway.
