ParticipantJust been looking around the sheds websites & guess what?? No Haier washers listed !! They have two dishwashers but thats all i can see.
Only worked on a couple of these god awful Chinese boxes of crap, but that was enough let me tell you.

Sorry to jump on your thread Madmac but saw this the other day in the storeroom at a local shed whilst doing a job there. It made me smile 😀

Talk about one end of quality to the other 😆

Email came through today… all Haier washing machines have been withdrawn from sale due to a potential QA issue.

No, they don’t see sense. They do see a big expense in the debit column for their bought-out service contracts though.

I wonder how you are supposed to move the Haier machine, it looks like sack trucks and fork lift trucks are not deemed suitable?

Oh you cant move them.. the steel thickness of cabinet does not allow it you see..
No,you have to take the skip to the machine & not vice versa. 😉

Well guys, it gets worse I’m afraid…
Haier are apparently flogging a machine for £119 excl. to the trade in general with a three year warranty. I wonder if they also guarantee parts availability as well, somehow I doubt it.
If you do sell them remember that, if the worst happens, then you have to sort it out as the retailer and then try to get recompense from Haier or the distributor. This is something I’d like to try.
And, if it goes up in flames, who they gonna sue first? 😕
But someone must be buying them.

Haven’t there been reports of the Haier machines causing fire?

Yes.
Hence the comment and Helo’s silence only strengthens the case.
I certainly would not have liked to have sold any. It’s one of those things really, it seems to good to be true so it most probably is.
Comet probably thought they were on a winner… cheap… exclusive to them… unique product…
And never thought to ask a non-accountant what the score was, as usual.
