I have an APM6215/6221 integrated freezer (sorry not sure which model). Three or four times during the last couple of weeks the alarm has gone off and I’ve had to press te fast freeze button to stop it, alternatively if the unit is left running in normal mode the alarm will stop after 3-4 hours. On every ocassion the alarm comes on late in the evening – maybe a coincidence? If anyone has any ideas as to what may be wrong and how it can be fixed I’d be very grateful
    thanks ❓

One of two likely problems, either the unit is not getting down to the correct temperature which is causing the alarm to go off, or the thermostat is duff. By pressing the fast freeze all you are doing is connecting the electric up to the motor byepassing the thermostat. This could result in the motor burning out. There are two different thermostats fitted to this appliance, the correct one identification is dependent on the serial number.
