ParticipantToday I had a conversation with a fuel bunkering agency with regard to fuel pricing .
the way it works is this –
they buy their fuel wholesale in massive volumes ,they then offer it out at a discount I was quoted on average 2pence per litre below pump price .
They contact you at the beginning of each week to tell you what that weeks fixed price is ,if its below what you see on the forecourt – great you buy it they charge you their price not the pump price .if you can beat it on the forecourt then buy from there that week .
cards are free ,no admin fee’s ,payment is on the 15th of every month by direct debit.
Here is the e-mail that I recieved today –“Afternoon Lawrence,
In regards to your online forum, the link to the page on our website is
http://www.infuel.co.uk/
Then if you can go onto Contact Us on the top right hand side and then onto Request Further Information ,a form will come up.
In the How Did You Hear About Us section, if you can get your members to put in your code WTA, then they will all come through to me.
As arranged, any new customer as introduced by yourself who uses the cards will result in a £5 credit per customer on your next invoice.”
I in turn will pass on that £5 credit to the WTA ,If it seems to go well on here and is succesful then I will roll it out onto the main forums.
Have a look and see what you think ,I have applied for cards today .

To give the fuel story… 🙂
Sorry, I couldn’t resist it….
Lawrence called me today with this deal and, basically, I said it was a no-brainer. The discount is a minimum of 2p per litre cheaper, sometimes this will rise to as much as 10p a litre cheaper.
So, I figured just as Lawrence had, that ANY fuel discount we could get was a Godsend in our line of work.
Hat’s off to Lawrence on this one, a brilliant little coup to get and on that is eminently practical as well as of use to us all IMO. Not only that but the TA gets a kickback just for you signing up!
Jut utterly bl00dy brilliant if you ask me.

Filled in the online form a couple of days ago, got a phonecall today, all set up and fuel cards on the way.
Thanks Lawrenceps. and with this weeks price I would have been saving 6p a litre.

Do you have a list or know which of the 3000 service stations these cards are accepted by?
As other fuel cards that we have enquired with in the past are only accepted in limited stations and you have to drive several miles to fill up, so the savings you make are lost.

IIRC the Total card covers BP, Shell and Texaco but you can order a directory as well as do an online search for stations close to you.

I asked this question when they phoned me and There are 3 cards. One for Shell and Texaco stations, one for Bp and some other stations and 1 for morrisons and other stations. So it is well covered.(Even in Scotland!!!)

Just received my Shell cards. Does anybody know this week’s price per litre of diesel before I start to use them. Can’t get through to the card management centre to ask them.
Cheers,
Dave

I requested Shell cards but today received Total cards. Just phoned and was told I can use them at Shell but there is a 3p per litre surcharge 😯 .
I am waiting on them phoning me back.
According to the directory I got with my cards there are no Total stations in Scotland.
