    Guys,

Been out to see a Hotpoint WMA58 that the customer informs me is overflowing through the soap dispenser. I have checked all the usual things that could cause this to happen and not found there to be any problem.

Unfortunately when I was there it didn’t overflow so it was impossible for me to see what was was actually happening! Therefore I left without charge.

The customer has since called me againand said that 4 washes after my visit the machine has done it again.

Could any of you point me in the right direction, your ideas would be appreciated!

Do you mean the machine is overfilling or is it pumpimg out of the drawer when it is on spin, or is it leaking on fill?

To high a water pressure can cause leaks from these drawers.

However if it is going into spin then throwing water out it has to be a problem with the sump/pressure chamber. If it was a normal blockage it should not go into spin if still full of water so something is preventing the pressure switch from sensing correctly.

I have seen a few of these if the filter is blocked will go into a spin and throw the water out the soap box.
