hi guys, any help would be appreciated.
had error light flashing on d/w (delicates/number6), advised by hotpoint that it was heating time out. checked element reading showed 26 ohms, checked voltage at terminal plug reading 240v, could find no reset, but with voltage at plug this would not make sense anyway. am i just being thick or have i missed something else??? any advice would be really appreciated, thanks.

Are you actually getting any heat? 6 is usually a sensor problem, although a burnt solder joint on the pcb can allow voltage through, but not a lot of current.

This is a public forum, so I have to tell you not to live test – very dangerous.

have you actually tried the dishwasher again?

wouldnt be the first time the machine works on the next attempt… the pcb’s on all indesit / hotpoint appliances are notoriously temperamental and un reliable

    thanks for reply,
getting no heat unfortunately, when m/c is filled and pressure switch has activated, the plug on the element is showing 240v, checked on both wires to earth and accross the 2 said wires, but when checked with the clamp on its showing no current draw. whats more confusing is the element coil is showing 26 ohms resistance. had a look at the board but all connections ‘look’ ok. incidently i am a service technician for commercial catering equipment, but not much experience with hotpoint etc….so it could be the board.

checking over again, penguin 45 mentioned bad solder on the pcb, any one i should check in particular, im assuming its the pink wire spade connector????…….not much hair left now…..

does anybody know of a supplier for used/recon boards for fdw60g dishwasher, all problems seem to lead to this, thanks.

Why bother, two different PCB’s both around £25.00 ex vat. It would be uneconomic for anyone to refurb these boards.

We would need full serial number to ID the correct part number.
