Hi- Attended one of these – evap not defrosting. there is what appears to be a defrost stat / TCO unit clipped to the evap showing continuity through the blue and white wires (0 ohms) but OC through the yellow and brown wires. Is this meant to be OC ie. normally open or is it defective.

If it is, does anyone have a PN as it does not list as a part on connections mediator.

    Appreciate any help, thanks

Not familiar with this model but i would have thought that you should definatley have continuety through the toc and through the defrost stat(if its frozen)

The sensor changes value when it gets cold. The problem is that the defrost heater will not cover enough of the evap. You fix new one but start abit lower and leave it hanging underneath the evap. which solves the problem.

Also look along the drain hole in freezer if it has gone black on the plastic then the gutter heater has blown.

New defrost heater from :71008 – indec00259475 (includes new sensor)
New defrost heater upto : 71008 – indec00259476 (includes new sensor)
    Gutter heater : indec00140585
Harness to connect the heaters togther : indec00141294

    Hope this helps.
