    Hi
I have the above washing machine and the Start/Pause touchpad recently became worn and difficult to push and it often took a few attempts to get the machine to start. The diagnostic error code is 36. I assumed it was the display controller that was the issue but do not want to fork out $100 for a reconditioned one unless I can be sure that is the problem. Can anyone help with the error code? F&P do not provide this information in Australia.
    regards Malcolm

36 – water leak – machine has to keep topping up. It may well be syphoning; the end of the drain hose must be above the highest possible water level in the machine.

    Hi
That doesn’t seem to be the problem. There has been no leakage. maybe I misinterpreted the binary code. If you read lights on as 1, then it was 00100100. Or maybe I didn’t enter diagnostic mode properly. I pressed Wash Temp Down for a few seconds then Power. The lights came on as above. I read somewhere something about pressing the Spin Speed “buttons” for further info, but nothing happens when I do.

Using the diagnostics, you can run the pump, water valves and test the lid and out of balance switch. You can’t run the motor…..

If you have a read of the sticky at the top of this forum, the correct procedure for running the diagnostics is outlined. Try it and see what you get.
