Machine aborts after about 30 seconds with top option light flashing. I read this as aF08 – heater relay. Changed the board with a recon from EMW – same fault. Where am I going wrong guys?

Checked heater for continuity and insulation – both ok. Accidentally left the ntc plug off, and when I tried it, I got lights 3 and 4 lit. Put it back on and it reverted to the usual light 1.

Pressure switch is a likely candidate. Take old one off and prise it open with flat screwdriver(s), taking care not to get blood everywhere. If you find contacts are burnt a bit, clean them up, reassemble to see if that works and if so, order new p/sw. Alternatively just try in a new p/sw.

Thanks for the replies guys. I’ll give the pressure switch a go. After that, I’ll just cut my losses….

I usualy pop a press sw in 1st for F08 faults, as i’ve been caught out a few times plumping for the module only to find its the press switch.

Just to let you know guys, a new pressure switch did the trick. Many thanks to all who replied.
