Four months ago I was getting £120 per tonne of washing machines.

    Today £40 per tonne.

Mind how you drive through those country lanes won’t you! 😉

This is because the scrap merchants were buying at high prices as the chinese were buying at top dollar.it will drop again before the end of the month as the commoditys markets fall and the scrap men have tons of unsold scrap purchased at high prices.

You wuz robbed. It’s £30/tonne at the mo. which by my reckoning should be £2.40 for a 80Kg machine.
