GRS592QVC Has anyone come across this problem before. When you shut the fridge door the freezer door opens. I thought that this is ok due to the size of the fridge door it was causing updraft making the door open.

try angling the fridge backwards slightly to encourage freezer door to close.
    cheers.

i wouldn’t worry about it then, unless the customer is concerned.
i’m not familiar with this model, but if you could adjust the hinges to increase the gap between the doors, that might help.
alternatively raise the front as mentioned. this does help the freezer door to go back.
it’s a fairly common problem, or perhaps with large doors, characteristic is the right word.

Presumably the fridge is cooled by air ducted up from the freezer. When you shut the fridge door you’re compressing the air which is forced into the freezer pushing the door open. Try shutting the fridge door slowly; that should stop it. I don’t think the size of the gap between the two doors is relevant.

hi geoff, i’ve known the size of the gap between the two doors to be a definate factor in displacing the freezer door. it’s the air gap between the two doors that causes the draught, which forces the door open.
widening the gap, if possible, could eradicate the problem.

    cheers.

They had this problem a few years ago and solved it with a stronger magnet in the door seal.

This may be the answer if this crops up alot.
