ParticipantHi i went to a CDA CI993 washer dryer and have ordered a door seal for it, when i saw the machine i had a quick look to see how it fitted on but it wasn’t obvious. Are these a pain to do? or are there any helpful tips to changing these? I didn’t have time to look properly before because i wasn’t parked in a safe place any help would be really helpful
thanks Peter 🙂October 29, 2008 at 8:37 pm #266994Lawrence

Sump hose is a tub out job…. It’s that hideous Fagor fingy which is a tub out job for the door seal. 😀

Hi i got back with the right seal today and fitted it and it was a pain, it was nearly impossible to get to the bolt on the band so i cut the seal and tore it away. I did not want to even think about refitting the original band so i thought i would use one of the zanussi spring bands on the new one but it was to thick, luckily i had one of the beko ones which are not very good but thinner. Thanks everyone for getting back to me 😀

Was it fairly straightforward once you decided to use the Beko spring clamp? Can we have the Beko part no. for future reference please?

Yeah it was although i have to say the beko bands are very stiff and it took quite a while to get that on as it kept pulling the seal off the tub, if anyone else does a similar band you would be better off using that (maybe Bosch i can’t remember if this is a thick one). The only reason i had the beko band was that i took it off an old machine so i don’t have a part number sorry 🙂
