Hi,
my bosch wff2001 motor has stopped turning again aftyer filling with water.
I only replaced the brushes a year and a a half ago. THere is still just under 1/2 inch carbon on each brush.
Someone suggested that the armature might be worn. How can i tell if this is the case please. Obviously I don’t want to order new brushes if I really need a new motor! Will new brushes get more life out of worn commutator.
I am going to try replacing the brushes again anyway, but do I really need a Washing Machine Motor Commutator Cleaner (they are more expensive than the brushes!) would a cleaner help if my armatare is worn? – or could I not just clean the commutator with some super fine abrasive paper.
Any speedy replies welcome as I need to order the brushes if that will suffice.
Many thanks in advance
SM
