ParticipantHello
Can anyone help please with this built in dishwasherLights 2 and 4 were flashing which is a heater fault.
Checked heater = OK
Fills OK
wash motor OK
drain pump OKSo fitted new module. Now it is completly dead. I cant even determine if it is in test mode, as there is no prog lights, no beeps, no nothing. The on/off neon is OK, so there is power getting to module. Any thoughts, or is the new module faulty? Thanks

Why not pop the old module back in to see if it comes back to life. 😉

Thats what I did, and yes, it does come back to life, with the original fault still there

I have since found there may be 2 types of module.
The one I fitted, C00143222, is a BIT100 F6 type, but there is also a BIT100 ‘G’ type. I am wondering if I fitted the correct one.November 28, 2008 at 8:25 pm #270083Jonah

First of all, its a BFI62. Only one module listed on Partfinder. There is also a BFI620, this one does have two different modules.
Module for BFI62 is listed as a C00096972.
The I signifies integrated. 😉

Went back to this d/w today to fit the module p/n C00096972.
But it is different from the original. There should be a small socket on it to accept a small plug with 2 white wires, (not the ntc wires, they are black)
but the socket is missing.Does any one know if there is a modification. Cheers

the only way you are going to resolve this is to get the serial number and industrial code off of rating plate otherwise you are going to keep going round in circles.

you are right
I did manage to repair the blown tracks on the old module. so customer is now happy. But I have wasted a lot of time on this one. Thanks to all who replied.
smartin, what do you mean by the industrial code?

Also known as the commercial code, a five digit number.
BFI62 should be 28837, BFI620 should be 30708 etc.

Thanks for the info
The actual numbers on the rating plate were
BFI 62
36703682
LS12 EVO3
412042774So the 36703682 must be the commercial code

According to the manuals the commercial code is made up as follows in this example.
37 24455 0010…..although there may not be spaces between the numbers.
First two digits 37 = the factory of origin
Second five digits 24455 = the commercial code
Last four digits……=not used.
No combination of 36703682 comes up as a commercial code on Partfinder. 😕Jim.

I hope someone can make use of the info in this thread, and not waste as much time as I did.
The saving of £60 by not buying a partfinder disk was a false economy.
Shame they don’t seem to be available any more.graham
