    Hello,

I seem to be having a problem with my dishwasher.
When I press the start button, the machine sounds like it is beginning to work for 20 or 30 seconds and then stops. The green light is flashing in 2’s, what does this mean? and how can it be fixed?

    Very grateful for any help

Flood protection activated – there is water in the tray under the machine. Drain off and find the leak.

Power off before removing any panel.

    Thanks Penguin 45.

Is this relatively easy to do? can I do this myself?
If I can identify the leak, what is the best way to ‘plug’ it?

Remove plinth, decor door (slacken screws 2 + 4 each side of door and push down), then the lower cover plate. If working with the machine “in situ”, simply bend the front edge of the tray down with a towel in place to drain. The leak itself can be awkward – a torch and observation may be the only way. Bear in mind that it has the BIG ASKOLL circulation pump fitted, with all the problems which that entails.

Stay safe, power off for anything other than observation.

Right, I managed to drain the water from the tray below as you said.
However I am finding it hard to see exactly where the leak is coming from. Is the BIG ASKOLL pump on the right at the back?
Should I set the machine running and see what I can see?

    Man thanks!

Pump is at the rear right. This might help:

    Re: Diplomat 8502 not working

Many thanks, your picture was most helpful.
I also checked out the link about the BIG ASKOLL.

I drained the tray and ran the cycle again, watching intently with torch in hand. It did seem like the water was spraying out from the outlet hose from the dreaded ‘ASKOLL’
I then drained the tray once more and removed the side panel to confirm this was where the water was coming from.

However now the water is not leaking at all and the cycle is stopping and the green light is flashing in 6’s!

Can you tell me what this means?

Thanks again for taking time to help me. Even if it can not be fixed,I am learning a fair bit about dishwashers! lol

f6 not filling with water, when the motor starts its turn the small leak into a spray and all the wires get wet and can give u tons of fake faults, untill it drys out or you have turn the water of or have a kinked pipe or faulty valve.
