ParticipantI have been giving my machine a good clean today, tooth brush in all the nooks and crannies and I managed to pull the fabric softner siphon out and gave it a clean as I thought it was blocked. (Fabric softener was draining prematurely) Anyway, now I have got it out I can’t get the darn thing back in again ergo I have two questions:
How can I put it back on? (tricky as I cannot ‘see what I’m doing once my hand is in the drawer)
If I get really stuck can I use the machine temporarily without it?
I would really appreciate some advice please!

The draw should come out completly. There may be a catch under the draw that it needs to be eased over.

Why don’t you remove the drawer and clean it and the dispenser roof properly?

Sorry I perhaps didn’t make myself clear; I have taken the drawer out completely to clean inside but still can’t see what I’m doing when putting the siphon back on?

I just checked again and there is no catch under the drawer, the siphon is totally separate from the drawer. It sat right at the back of the box where the box is housed but Im baffled as how Im ever going to get it back in because I just can’t see what I’m doing.

Dispenser syphon cap fits in the drawer – you should be able to refit it out of the machine.

This one was definately attached to the roof of the box. Am I missing something here?

Ok, I’ve fitted the siphon in the drawer but it doesn’t look like it should be there completely. I’m still convinced that it was fitted right when it was attached to the roof. Have you ever seen a model where the siphon isn’t actually part of the drawer that you pull out? Any advice would help.

Are you taking about a spout which should be fitted in the top back left corner of the soap box?

Right, that’s the fill jet. Lid off, plug out. Use one hand to poke the spout up through the roof of the box, then fit the cam over the exposed end. Make sure that the steering wire is routed correctly and that the lever is pulled back by spring tension.

Lid off, plug out? Do you mean I have to take the lid off the top of the machine?

Yup. If you’ve pulled the spout down and out, you have separated it from the cam mechanism, which will have to be all clipped back into place.

erm, ok- Looks like I will have to get some help as that will mean pulling it out from under the worktop. Thankyou for helping. BTW, can I use the machine in the meantime?
