ParticipantHi all
Had a look at this dishwasher today its making a Loud Clicking ticking noise coming from the heater element area during the whole program even when the program has finished it sounds like a small motor running from in or behind the heater enclosure looking from the right hand side of the machine.
The washer appears to be working ok although the customer said on one occasion the tablet did not dissolve, I tried every program and it heated ok.
Any ideas please what could be causing this noise ?Thanks

could be the little motor which distributes the water from top arm, and then to bottom arm, could explain why tablet not disolving.

How about the water point diverter motor under the heater causing the noise maybe? Although can’t imagine why it would do it when the programme has finished though? 😕

Thanks Martin & Tell
on the drawing looks like this motor is complete in the heater housing part number 483058 (compl.w.aqua sensor,NTC,push switch + altern.water distributor ) can’t see another motor, is this the one you guys are talking about ?
The only thing I’m puzzled about is should this motor be running after the program has stopped and if not does this mean there could be a fault with the control module as well ?John

Technically it should have all shut down, at the end of programme and no power to motor, as with the control board should end prog. but if you trace the wiring back from the motor(which is like a little turntable motor) then you can check if voltage is still getting to it.

p.s. i dont think these come seperate, and are bit pricey.January 14, 2009 at 7:23 pm #274045BobHope

its possible the motor is jammed in an open position with food or glass paticals and it is still trying to return to its normaly parked position.
