This has been fully expected and as we mooted in the article about spare parts, service and product delays in the news the other day.
From Ilve/Faber today:
“We wish to inform you that both the ILVE & Faber factories, are now closed with immediate effect, in accordance with safety advice in Italy.
ILVE have closed their factory until April 3rd but we do however expect this date to be pushed back, we will of course keep you updated once we have additional information.
Faber have not given a date for re-opening but instead, are monitoring the situation day by day in Italy.”
We fully expect more to follow and we will update any info we get here as we get it.
We have heard that Italy is on a full industrial lockdown which means that factories are closed including the above, Delonghi, Elba, Kenwood, Smeg and others being shuttered until this crisis is over.
To date, spare parts have not been impacted too greatly other than delay but we are monitoring the situation.
++UPDATE 25-03-2020++
BSH now also to close production plants so, Bosch, Neff, Siemens, Balay, Gaggenau and others also now shuttered.
