Lid off, Control panel off, Front panel off, Belt round drum, Pull like F&*^{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}, Get first aid kit, bandage hands and rebuild.

Remove top cover, then remove right hand side panel remove console panel, push front panel outwards slip belt ond drum secure front panel and console, get the biggest screwdriver you can find and strecth belt via motor pulley with the screwdriver, turn drum while guiding belt onto pulley refit side panel and top cover, 10 mins should do it. And another one.
    Top off
    right hand side panel off
remove three screws from back of left hand side panel
put your foot in the belt and pull (bullworker style)with your hands to stretch the belt a bit
pull the drum away from the front support and slip the belt on
put the screw back in the left hand panel
BIG screw driver and lever the belt onto the motor shaft.
    Easy.

instead of a big screwdriver i use a extending bar with a big socket loop through belt and push socket into motor shaft, pull down and work belt off bar and onto motor.

    kev

or use the hotpoint belt tool which is essentiallty the same,

I use a short piece of copper tube ,though belt over motor shaft pull down push belt onto shaft. Bit cheaper than the hotpoint tool.

Chris i have the correct belt tool but never use it nowadays as it doesnt fit in my toolbox and a screwdriver never lets me down. jj

Even though it does make it easier be careful not to do too much force or the belt will snap like what happened me a few months back 😳

I use the large screwdriver method.

the proper tool will pay for its self in no time. it also looks better if the customer is watching

True, doesn’t look good when you’re cursing and hitting the side of the appliance with a hammer in frustration 😆
