been here friday cust complaining of not drying heater etc checked fine but the valve is not getting any power to it so no water.Is this fed from front pcb or is it a known problem?

With a fault reported on these models of not drying correctly, or taking to long to dry, may mean we need to change the main control PCB, this is the one in the bottom of the appliance.
Smeg have produced appliances in production that have a problem with the drying cycle, this is due to a fault on the PCB.With appliances produced from April 06 to Sept 06 the appliances were fitted with a faulty PCB with a number on the card, if the number on the PCB matches this number reference (VSD010_C63) then the PCB must be changed. Depending on the model (please note washer dryers only) the part number from the manual of esploweb will be the correct one, as Italy have assured us that all stock of the faulty PCB have been removed from the spares lines.

spoke to smeg with this part number as cust wants it done asap and they have no record of part number they are saying there is a front board which need a shaft extension mod kit fitting and a rear spin board there is also a front dryer board which is obsolete.the part number they have quoted us is 811650224.
any ideas chris
