ModeratorJust to end any uncertainty 😉 A new Bosch machine installed this afternoon.
Sealed tub.

Another ‘improvement’ :rolls: 😯
No user accessible pump filter. 😥

The drain pump is attached to the drum and does appear to have a small inspection cover underneath.

What a horrible looking machine and sure to drag the Bosch brand name down even further. Do they expect the customer to empty that filter 😥
Still at least the pump is not sealed to the drum 😆

That does indeed look like a cheap & nasty piece of junk. Well, thats it then, the sealed drum is here to stay, bearing changes will slowly become a thing of the past, a sock or pair of knickers will be responsible for writing off countless thousands of machines in the future.. and the manufacturers will love it no doubt :rolls: Shouldnt be allowed IMO. 😥

Nasty yes, cheap no!…this heap of poo sells for £430. 😯
The drum paddles do come off to access errant socks and bra wires but the drum is not available as a replacement! 😕

Since I heard about the welded drums I have been recommending Bosch but I won’t know what to do now. There is obviously the ISE but I don’t really want to get into selling new machines and nobody else round here sells them. 😕

Don`t know where you got that price from Martin? It`s their entry level machine, the stub door handle gives it away 😉 . Typical retailer price if you buy in bulk £219.00, internet price circa £290.00Don

I fancy it`s a bit of clever marketing that Martin 😉 Increase the price for 28 days in the last six months to satisfy trading standards and drop the price down to what it should be ie circa £320.00 show a whopping saving of £110.00 and loads of punters will have a pop at it thinking it`s the bargain of the year.
Trade price to us Indies is £219.00 at the mo.

@ martin
if you look at the comet machine it has a filter flap so is a slightly different machine
although over £100 to be able to clean a filter does sound a bit much 😆

Crafty so and so’s eh? I’ve since goooogled up that model number and ’tis a lot cheaper for sure.
Thank’s for the tip about spotting the stub door handle. I’ll advise my customers to avoid those in future. 😉
