The door leaks on both left & right hand side at bottom. Doesn’t do it always. Seals are fine & door looks like it closing properly. Always done since new & now not in guarantee – i know durrgh! Read on one site that it could be because the salt setting is on max as default from factory. How do I set the salt setting? Does this make sense? Any other suggestions? Could this be one of these faults that just goes on and on!! Had a guy round to look at it & he did just that – looked at it! Said he wasn’t going to try to repair a fault that obnly leaks some times! Do I need to get a new one?

Check that the spray bars are going around. How – switch it on listen for the water swish, open door set both top and bottom bars front to back close door listen again for swish of water and open door again. Look and see if they have moved. If they haven’t moved you have a spray bar problem which is causing the leaks. hth

Where abouts in the UK are you.? Your problem could be caused by use of 5in 1/3 in 1 tablets and too much salt. This would cause overfoaming which would lead to leaks from the door.HTH

Hi didn’t quite understand yr abbreviations – do you mean 3 in 1 tablets. I just fill the salt up to top as I have always done with dishwashers. I live on south east coast. Using 3 in 1’s but it does it whether i use 3 in 1’s anyway! grrgh

Multi-function tablets froth like crazy and really just don’t do what you think they do.

The next step is to remove the decor door and door outer panel. This will reveal the bottom of the cavity and the bottom door seal. With the power off, clean everything that you can see. Stand well back and run the machine and see if the water is still shooting under the door seal. The front edge of the cavity occasioanlly bows out with the heat – pushing it back may fix it if you’re lucky. Failing that, you may be looking at replacing the door inner panel, complete with bottom seal. Never done one or know of anyone who has – nasty, expensive job.

    Good luck,

    hi
indesit had a problem with this model does the leak occurr late on in the programme like the hot rinse cycle , does it tend to be foamy water? if it does its the 3 sided door seal is too long and causing a pressure buildup within the wash chamber on the hot rinse carefully cut the seal at both ends so that its about 1 inch below the frame it sits inside this allows the pressure to escape as air rather than water
the reason you still want some seal below the metal frame is too save you slicing your fingers off when cleaning as i think the bottom of the frame was made by gillette 😀

remember only do this if your problem is as above
