check pump for blockage, also you will find water inside the pump impellor, clear, grease and reseal

I have to be perfectly honest, I have no idea what this is about. 😕
Water ‘inside’ a pump impellor. ❓
From the manual.
AL10.
Open circuit in heater circuit.
Check heater and heater TOC.
Check pressure switch 11-14 for O/c.
Check wiring connections between heater, pressure switch & module card.
If all OK, change the module.NOTE.
Is AL10 displays intermittantly..if the spray arms are not able to rotate correctly the heater will overheat and the cut out will operate displaying AL10.March 5, 2009 at 10:49 pm #279225sparkys

As we are all trying to help – i will hold back on any further information as this could confused the situation, but would like to know the outcome.

Please don’t misunderstand my reply, I am in no way trying to undermine your contribution, I am just puzzled as to your mention of ‘finding water inside the pump impellor, clear, grease and reseal’.
I have removed countless drain pumps from these Indesit heaps of junk, they do block up for fun but have never had to grease or reseal. Just remove the blockage and refit.
Also have never had a blocked drain pump throwing up AL10. That doesn’t mean to say it couldn’t happen, they are so flaky that anything is possible.
The answer is out there…. 8) 😀

I think sparkys is talking about pulling out the rotor from the pump body and cleaning it. I think this is possible with some but not all magnet pumps. I usually replace pump if it’s all gunged up in there.
I did once use a second hand rotor assembly from my toolbag because I didn’t have a bayonet fit Askoll with me and it’s been going strong for 3 years now 😯 .

Ah, I see. 😳
A blocked or faulty pump shouldn’t give AL10 though. 😕

The larger module in the base is an eeprom/smart card job. 😥
