My washer dryer keeps going wrong!
It stops during its cycle and the knob keeps turning around.
i think it is on the wash cycle, but then it also does it when i manage to set it going again on the rinse or spin or dry cycle.
I’ve read that if you count the flashes then it indicates the problem….but it just seems to flash continuously and very fast, it cant be counted.
I have took the advice of resetting it (turning it off and on at the @ position) but it keeps doing it again and again!
Is there some checks that we can do ourselves first, to see if its something simple causing it?
This machine is what came with our house from the previous owners, and we’ve never been able to set it to wash without drying. Is it possible to only wash on this machine? We set the drying time to 0 but it still drys. Could this be something linked to our problem?

    Any advice would be appreciated!

To be brutally honest, what you have is an Indesit washer/dryer. It could be four or five years old by now which is on the high side age wise for one of these. 😥

It should be possible to set it to wash only but the electronics used in these appliances are about the most unreliable on the market so anything is possible and often leads back to a fault on the main PCB.

The only simple things you can check are, pump filter, motor brushes, loose wiring connections etc.

Be sure to remove the mains plug first if you do take a look.

The cost of new appliances is set to go through the roof due to the 40{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} drop in the value of the pound so it might be time to shop around for a suitable replacement ASAP. 😉

    Jim.
