the dishwasher wont fill up, the customer had installed a new washing machine but turned the water off to the dishwasher, after leaving it on for 8 hours he realised it wasnt working but when he turned the water on it wont fill.
its one of these fill hoses with the solenoid at the valve end, the solenoid is ok but it wont fill up the valve isnt getting electricity, i checked everything but it wont fill any ideas?April 16, 2009 at 7:40 am #283288Martin

I think you’ve got an “Aquastop”? Give lots of trouble. Have you tried a search using the forum search engine and the above term?
IIRC the supply to the valve in the aquastop is governed by a pressure switch or some such anti-flood device.

Ooops just spotted this. 😳
No power to valve will probably mean that the triac to the valve on the PCB has gone west? 🙁

Would it not time out before any big problems arose? 😕

ask what the triacs are controling, valve, heater etc? that will be where the fault is.

Use a meter. Follow the tracks back to the edge connector. Wherever that goes, there’s your problem.
