Did you replace the dispenser complete with solenoid? it sounds from your description that the original solenoid was faulty, possibly due to being powered constantly.
If this is the case, afraid it’s time for an Engineer to check the machine, unfortunately the Electronics on Indesit machines are not the best.PLEASE REMEMBER POWER OFF & PLUG OUT BEFORE OPENING.
i.e YOU SHOULD NOT BE LIVE TESTING. 😯 😯For an Engineer in your area please see the repairs@ link.

The reason for it not having the noise was probably that the solenoid coil was open circuit & that’s why it wouldn’t open the door.

so could this be a problem with mainboard as its getting a constant feed to the solenoid which a solenoid dont need am i right in saying that?

Could well be a problem with the Electronics, the solenoid should only be powered during the part of the cycle where the dispenser should open.
If it’s powered constantly then it will eventually burn out causing the problem you had originally.Time to call an Engineer Methinks.
