hi could someone tell me if i am going in the right direction…
the dishwasher starts by pumpming, then starts to fil for about 10 seconds…beeps then starts to fill and drain at the same time…have tried the flow switch and motor and heater and stat seem to read out!
Last ditch i have ordered the rather expensive board…is there anything else i should be looking for? 😕

    Thanks Jazz! 😀

Do you get any flashing lights and if so how many flashes?

the 1st led on the left hand side..think it is the rinse stays on but does not flash and you cannot do anything unless you reset the programme!

    Re: Diplomat d/w ADP8322

The ADP8322 is a Whirlpool made machine which should give fault code readings via the start light flashing so it looks like the pcb may have let go but there are numerous other known problems that can happen with these such as faulty flow-meter or it’s contacts, blocked level diaphragm sensor, faulty NTC (despite giving correct meter readings).
Do a search on ‘ADP8322’…there’s plenty to read 😉

    HTH?

ok this is ongoing now! 😕
I replaced the board and the fault returned although now i have the start light flashing 7 times..so at least i have a fault. As far as i am aware this points to the flow switch..please correct me if i am wrong!
i have replaced the flow pressure switch to no avail.Appliance still drains…starts to fill for approx 10 seconds then the fills and pumps at the same time and beeps…..

    Anymore advice anyone PLEASE!!! :rolls:

    Re: Diplomat d/w ADP8322

apologies for jumping on to this post but i also have an adp8322 which flashes 7 lights the fault code guide says flow meter failure but it doesnt appear to have one it has the black grid pressure switch in the sump would that give the same fault code or have i missed the flow meter.

The flow-meter is situated near the base on the LHS looking from front. It’s an integral part of the metering tank consisting of a small vane ‘propellor’ with a magnet attached to it. Clipped to the outside is a reed switch which ‘pulses’ open and closed as the magnet on the propellor rotates past it.

It’s a common fault for the connections to corrode or work lose 😉

Nope, not true. Various manufacturers – SMEG, Brandt and Whirlpool mostly, then the unfortunate Haier episode. All have their little quirks, all well documented on here, all highly repairable. By and large built-in, so added value to the customer and a higher chance of a repair charge being accepted.
