    Bosch SMS 5342 Dishwasher

I sprung a leak in the exhaust hose. The first offering from the local plumbers merchant – a generic drain pipe , anyone want it 🙂
(I did tell them it was a Bosch and took the old one along) wasn’t a water-tight seal on the outlet and i got a bit of water spraying out from where it fits onto the transparent bit at the side . So I’ve got the Bosch part fitted but now when i turn it on it doesn’t fill with water .

the only thing taht has happened AFAIK is that when I started getting the water coming out towards the end of the cycle , I reset the machine via the CP on the front (the normal and quick cycle keys together) .

and now i dont get any water flowing into it
So the solenoid isn’t opening ?
    Any thoughts why ?
and where is the solenoid ?- it all looks very very cramped in there !

ive tried resetting the machine half way through a (now dry) cycle but that hasnt solved it.

does the machine keep draining, if so there is probably flood water in the base. then machine will go into flood prevention mode. now you have cured the leak make sure all water is tipped out of the base. this will reset the float switch.

    thanks – fixed now.
and SWMBO isnt scowling any more !

so how does it work ?
a float in a little container connnected to a switch that stops the solenoid opening ?
