    Hi,

    I’ve an AEG Competence B4100-1 with a problem.

    When you use the over after you turn it off a cooling fan runs for several minutes, the problem is that it no longer seems to want to stop. I have to turn the appliance off at the mains, leave it for several minutes and then turn it back on to get the cooling fan to stop.

    Any ideas gratefully appreciated.

    Cooling fan function is controlled a small thermostat on the back of the oven casing. This may well be sticking. Part number is 3873118008, spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk for pricing and ordering.

    Power off if you intend to fit this part yourself.

    I have a similar problem on my AEG B1180-1 built in oven. The cooling fan does not cut out after use and even after the oven is unplugged overnight, as soon as I plug it back in the fan goes on again. I cannot give the 944 number just now but will follow up later if required.

    Can anyone confirm if I require the same part as stated above, Part number 3873118008?

    I went away for the weekend and mine actually fixed itself when I came back and switched it on .. but subsequently it has broken again with the same behavior.

    I will check the component above and provide feedback.

    So to confirm I need to replace this part number only
    8996619267611? Or do I need to replace this part number as well 3873118008?

    Hi,

    Just to follow up it turned out that I needed “8996619267611 – AEG & Electrolux Oven Cooling Fan Control” and not 3873118008 after all. A least 3873118008 was cheap and the oven is now working.

    Thanks for the help.

    Simple and a 10-minute job to fix btw (with the power OFF).
