    Hi,

    Siemens Extraklasse XL120

    E- Nr. WXL120 GB/01

    FD 8108 700104

    I’d appreciate some help.

Good news is that water goes in. Seems to heat up. Machine turns.

Unfortunately, The water will not drain.

On a short programme the water goes in. The machine turns for few minutes. Reaches the red light : Rinsing. The minute indicator on it goes blank. Water remains and is not drained.

When I try the following programmes

    1. Rinsing

    2. Spin

    3. Pump

The machine makes a buzzing noise and nothing happens.

I have cleaned out the filter at the bottom of the machine on the right hand side.

After letting all the water out manually and through the filter , I tried the 3 programmes again . :
    Rinsing :
    Spin :
    Pump

Still making just the ” buzz ” noise.

Checked the Water outlet pipe seems clear .

    Thanks 🙂

make sure the pump impellor behind the filter moves, use a torch once you have cleared all the water to see if there is something wrapped around it or if something has got through the filter and jammed it.

    Hi,

Thanks for your post and help.

    Just seen your post.

In the meantime I have been giving the pump filter area and the impeller further clean.

Could not see anything impeding the impeller.

Cleaned the outflow pipe. Removed the U-bend and took the pipe to floor level. Little water came out.

Tried a small plunger against the filter. Don’t know if that had any effect.

    Tried the spin programme.

Glad to report that it somehow started to work

    What a relief
    😆

    Thanks again.
