Participantiv’e had trouble obtaining two elements for a die-dietrich electric built -in cooker,1984.got in touch with brandt who wasn’t very helpful.but would supply them at £45-00 each.which i considered expensive at £90-00 for the two, then i found a company in walsall, which have made them for me.i did have to take the old ones there and collect them about 7 days later but saved £40. of which i charged the customer an extra £20 on the labour charge,i put this on in case anyone has a problem getting elements.the company is called heaterbands.website http://www.heaterbands.ltd.uk. ONLY PROBLEM IS HEATERBANDS CANNOT RESPOND TO BEING RECOMMENDED.SO THEY DON’T WANT ANY WORK, ANYONE WAN’T TO RESPOND FROM HEATERBANDS.

ParticipantThanks for that, it could become very usefull, we are always getting asked for obscure, mostly commercial elements.

ParticipantI had the need to use these today, we had brought in for repair a commercial carpet extraction machine with a failed element, now obsolete.
Extremely helpful company, I emailed them and within an hour I had a phone call saying “Just send it up and we will make as many as you want”.
You can’t ask for much more than that. 😀

Sort of OK, I sent them an element, they phoned to ask a couple of questions and that was the last I heard from them for 6 weeks. The customer was giving us so much grief I gave him Heaterbands number in the end and told him to sort it out himself 🙁

sorry dave,if i treated my customers like heaterbands treated you,i would not have many customers. i will delete their name from this site.and will probably send them an e-mail stating they don’t deserve to be recommended to anyone, i work from recommendations.so if some supplier messed me about.its their loss.theres always someone else somewhere, WILLING TO HELP. 😥

No need to appologise 😀
They were actually very helpful to start off with, I guess they may have had problems making the element I sent them, but keeping customer’s informed and returning phone calls would be a bonus.
Anyway, I’ll keep their details, it’s handy to know that someone is even willing to give it a shot.
Dave.
