KeymasterWell I just decided that I’m not waiting 12 months or more to get paid, feck that! They can sweat it for a bit as I will not provide any information or status on calls at all until they stump up, which TBH I don’t think they can do.
I’ve simply had enough of these pillocks.

ParticipantOn Stop till I get the balance of my 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}. Can’t wait to see what happens with the Coverplan payment. May cause Electrue Some problems.
Is it true Browngoods got 65{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} when we got 60{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}.August 18, 2003 at 9:45 pm #104389kwatt

ParticipantI stopped 50{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} first thing on Monday, no notice, but did we get any notice we wouldn’t be paid.
I had a call from our new signing Miss Loach yesterday afternoon quoting from Ken’s statement from last week “If I only got 60{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of my wages I wouldn’t be here” . Makes you laugh really, when she pretends to be on your side, then stabs you in the back. Do they think we’re bloody idiots.

Did you notice David Parker on the invitees list from CH earlier, refering to the now changed DASA venue. That might be interesting, he might want to get us to work directly for them and stuff NESN, perhaps he could be pursuded as they already use their own customers where NESN have no coverage.

Don’t worry, I was just curious that he was invited, or even wanted to attend, yet another hidden agenda I expect, but one which could work in our favour, eventually, possibly 😉
Thing is though if NESN go suddenly, they will want something in place PDQ, or even beforehand, and what with the current climate 😈

KeymasterTBH Electrue don’t have a choice in it now!
*IF* they are contracted to supply service for Coverplan and, knowing DSG as I do, I suspect that they will be, then they have no option but to provide service or they pick up the tab for the costs which I certainly would think will be horrendous. The clue in that is the points mooted about NESN having to pick up the tab for replacement appliances under the six-week rule, if that is correct you’ll probably find that Electrue only shifted the liability from themselves to NESN. But here’s the point of it, details aside, Coverplan/DSG do not want to take the risks that they as an insurer should do, they pass the liabilities or as much as they possibly can to a third party. That has always been the way they’ve worked since the 70’s and they’re still at it today, good business practise from their point of view, shite for us poor mugs that pick up the tab.
So, the only way that I can see Electrue extracting themselves from this is to ride the storm until they can back off a bit, or they may see volume as the answer, but it’s not quite simply. As Mark has often pointed out, if you’re not making money at the work then it’s not worth doing it. It will be very interesting to see what happens over the coming weeks though.

KeymasterHere’s part of a copy from an email sent to me about our friends in Stoke last night, I’m waiting on the response to the reply I sent but I think that’s another one that will be putting them on stop very soon. 😕

Things are very much as before, by coincidence we had a visit today from one of their computer geeks trying to teach us how the system works (and by default why we were not getting paid on time) After only giving us 20 minutes notice of the visit (she got lost and needed directions) she slung her hook after 30 minutes because she couldn’t answer the questions fired at her. Had to go back to HQ to clarify things. Strangely, we had another bod about a month ago who had to do the same. To be honest our biggest problem classically occured last week. We didnt get paid enough to cover our electrue bill and me being arsey decided that we wouldnt pay them until NESN cleared things. Next we know we’re on stop with electrue, which of course then meant we couldn’t do NESN work. NESNs then on phone wanting to know why we aren’t doing the work. If I have any thoughts about them, I would say that they’ve lost so many good staff and the company has taken on so much work with inexperienced people, that they just aren’t able to cope.

Keymasternesn /electrue
As you are all aware Nesn have been on stop with me for 1 week now yet are still sending me work.Dispite the fact that we have had several calls from their customers they still send work.Even me telling them personnely that they are on stop they still send the work’nothing I do seems to stop this flow of work(PARADISE if I wanted it).
So now we approach the time of month when Electrue has paid Nesn an amount of cash which is due to be paid to me so that I can pay my spares account.I have asked Electrue how much they have paid Nesn and they have duly supplied an accurate figure. So this figure should be passed in full to me at the end of this month (any bets?)What happens if I don’t receive the full amount will be a concentrated effort to get Electrue on my side to excert pressure from their end.I wonder how many of you will receive full payment from electrue……….do you want to know:
E-mail asharp@electrue.co.uk ,,,,,,,,,,,,he is finance director and should be treated with due respect when you ask for information.
I think the time cometh quick for Nesn

KeymasterTBH Mark I don’t know that they have that long and not from the people in this forum (the war room that is) or the people outwith it as the there is a general discontent out there over them. I’ve more or less resigned myself to the fact that I’ve probably lost the money that they owe me and it will sting a bit for a while, but I’ll get by.
It must be a REAL problem for Electrue though as if NESN do fold then it could well be “night, night Sooty” for the lion’s share of their network in one fell swoop. And they cannot legally (IIRC) pay the agents directly for work carried out through NESN so they could lose out big time in this as well as no bugger will pay them for spares but they’ll still have to pay out on the work to the reciever basically taking a double hit even if it is only in the short term. So not only is NESN in danger and their agents but Electrue as well could well have a fair old bit of exposure in this. Of course, as ever, DSG will sail out without losing a penny!
Hence the extreme danger I keep banging on about in all this!
The amazing thing is that there are people out there that don’t see, or don’t want to see the writing on the wall yet.
