I just bought a John Lewis JLAFFS2007 refrigerator at an auction. It looks new, but I am trying to figure out why it was so inexpensive. So I took it home and plugged it in and the refrigerator side is too cold (-13C). Since I bought it at an auction it did not come with owner’s manuals (and for that matter a warrantee). Can somebody help me figure out how to program it so that it is not so cold? Or does someone know where I can download the manual online? I went to http://www.serviceforce.co.uk but the page with the download can not be found. Any advice/help would be much appreciated.

    Re: Fridge Troubles

The reason you got it cheap at an auction, I expect, is that it’s bust. 😉

The owner manual will not help you with the problem I don’t expect as it sounds like a thermistor, thermostat or electronic controller failure as it’s overfreezing in the fridge. But, TBH, that’s just a guess without knowing more.

It looks as if it was only produced through 2006 so I doubt there’s any warranty on it now, you would need proof of purchase for Service Force to honour any warranty at any rate.

    Hope that helps.

    K.
