    Hi,

Can anyone give me the part number for the thermal fuse on this dryer.

The dryer is only 4 months old and they`ve changed the design of the fuse and it now looks like a button stat.

It is located on the blower unit. I have now tried 3 suppliers and am not getting any sense from them.

    Cheers Dave

    Hi
    Alan

I have never been able to find a service number on the American Whirlpool machines.I have a serial number but thats all.If you Google the model number you will find Sainsbury and others selling them.

    Thanks Dave.

    Re: Whirlpool 3RLEQ8033SW1

    Hi Chris,

Sorry, this is not the correct part number – I am aware of this part and have fitted many of them.

Also the other one which is 4819 2522 8095 is the long shaped thermal fuse.

The one I want I haven`t seen before and looks like a button stat such as the one you would find in the heater assembly on a hotpoint dryer.

It is fitted in exactly the same place as the earlier fuses and if I could I would retro fit the earlier fuses but the cut-out is not suitable.

I have tried Connect, Masterpart, Qualtex and even Whirlpool.

They do not recognise the model number but if you google it, firms are selling it.

I have a retirement home with 12 dryers all with the same fault.

    Somebody please help!!

    Cheers Dave

If this is likely to be a common failure, one of you please pop the part number up here for future seekers of knowledge.

    Hi John,

The diagram is correct but cannot see which type of thermal fuse it is.

Have tried several wholesalers, using your part number but have drawn a blank. They are all making enquiries.

If anyone knows who can supply the part, please let me know.

I will tell you how I got on.

    Thanks for all your help.

    Cheers Dave

Just to clarfiy Dapman wants a round type thermal fuse as this model does not use a square button type, has small round type.. other models do use square type.

    Re: Whirlpool 3RLEQ8033SW1

    Hi All,

I thought I`d let you know how I`m getting on with the thermal fuse.

    Part N0 – 4801 121 00395

So far, I have been quoted between £47 and £83 plus VAT which is ridiculous considering the earlier parts were around a fiver.

Did think maybe order up earlier blower housing and retro fit earlier fuses.

Will have to price up housing.

I will let you know the outcome.

    Cheers Dave
